Hominid n. - A primate of the family Hominidae, of which Homo sapiens is the only extant species.
The Hominid is the artist name of an English born (Nottingham, England, Nov 14, 1990) metal music composer, producer and guitarist. His style is primarily metal/industrial, although influences span a variety of styles, including heavy metal, death metal, classic rock, nu-metal and industrial. There are also some similarities with electronic music, as electronic drum and bass machines are mostly used instead of traditional bass guitars and drum kits. In 2010, a demo track, entitled Wasteland, was released onto the Internet as an mp3. This was followed Straightened Helix, the first track to be released that it planned for the tracklist of The Hominid's upcoming debut album.
